Where do most NSW rebates actually get applied for?

Many go through Service NSW’s website or app — it’s the state government’s single portal for concessions, rebates and vouchers, so it’s worth creating an account there regardless of which grant you’re after.

Do Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong all get the same rebates?

Statewide schemes apply everywhere in NSW. Council-run concessions can differ by area, which is why we split things out by metro where it actually matters.

I live in regional NSW, not a metro area — does this still apply to me?

Statewide schemes generally do. We’re still building out coverage for regional council areas specifically, so some smaller regional-only programs may not be listed here yet.

How is this different from the main Rebates page?

This page only shows NSW-specific and NSW-eligible programs. The main Rebates page covers every state we track — handy if you’re comparing states or about to move.
