TAS rebates by category
Where do most TAS rebates actually get applied for?
Most go through Tasmania’s energy efficiency programs directly, or through the state’s Climate Change Office for statewide schemes like the EV stamp duty waiver.
Do Hobart and Launceston get the same rebates?
Statewide programs apply everywhere in Tasmania. Council-run rebates can differ by area, which is why we split things out by metro where it actually matters.
I live somewhere else in Tasmania, not Hobart or Launceston — does this still apply to me?
Statewide schemes generally do. Tasmania has a larger regional and rural population than its two main cities suggest, so we’re still building out coverage beyond Hobart and Launceston.
How is this different from the main Rebates page?
This page only shows Tasmania-specific and Tasmania-eligible programs. The main Rebates page covers every state and territory we track — handy if you’re comparing or about to move.
